The Mini-LaMancha is known for its docile, even temperament, and a steady production of fairly high butterfat. The face is straight and with the ears being the most distinguishing characteristic of the Mini-LaMancha. The ears are either ‘Gopher’ which lacks cartilage but does have a ring of skin around the auditory canal or the ‘Elf’ which has some cartilage and should be no longer than an inch long.
Maximum height: Does: 27 inches, Bucks: 29 inches.
The best of both worlds between a standard LaMancha and Nigerian Dwarf in that you get the hardiness & efficiency of a Nigerian Dwarf but calmer, quieter temperament, hand milk ability & more volume of that fantastic dairy goodness!
