The Lord has certainly blessed this summer. In spite of the incredible heat and drought, one thing has prospered beyond our expectations! Okra seems to love this weather!
We are currently harvesting about 30 lbs per day from the five rows in our garden. About half is perfect pickling size. That accounts for a LOT of pickled okra! And the flavor / texture is amazing!
If you have not ordered your pickled okra yet, hurray! Demand is increasing! Even with this harvest, it won’t last forever!
