The Mini Nubian is a mid-sized dairy breed that is a cross between a standard Nubian and a Nigerian Dwarf, however, Mini Nubians are not just a cross of two breeds. They are a breed oriented from hard work and generations of building this breed that is becoming more popular year after year for their sweet, creamy, high butterfat milk of a Nigerian Dwarf but more of it, smaller and easier to handle than full-sized goats, weighing on average 100 lbs (bucks weighing a bit more) and standing 23-29″ tall for does and up to 31″ for bucks. (Standard Nubians can weigh up to 200 lbs!)
Being a bit taller than a Nigerian, with larger teats, they are generally easier to milk than most Nigerians. Many of them produce as much milk as standard sized Nubians but on half the feed. They are truly fuel efficient dairy goats with the best of both worlds!
