Please understand that goats, like any animal, can get sick. When that happens they may need vet care just like a dog or cat would. Goats are susceptible to certain illnesses that they can die from if not treated promptly and properly and not all veterinarians treat goats. Please be prepared to take them to a vet when necessary. Knowledgeable goat vets are hard to find. We recommend searching for one before bringing home a goat just in case. We also recommend purchasing necessary over the counter lifesaving medicine BEFORE you bring your new friend home. *
